We had a wonderful experience on the Fathom impact cruise to the Dominican Republic last week.
It was a meaningful way to launch the holidays…joining multigenerational travelers, age 8-80’s engaged (e.g. learning, playing games, dancing) with each other and the local community.
Travellers participated in several community projects including creative arts camp, paper recycling, women’s cocoa cooperative, water filters, reforestation, and concrete floors. The cumulative impact of 17 journeys is encouraging. For example, Fathom travelers have produced 974 filters which provides clean water for 4870 people!
I am inspired to return and share the journey. Visit the Abrevista Fathom travel link for info about voyages to the Dominican Republic and to Cuba!
